Beck Hall's location next to the beck makes a stay here very pleasant, and the setting is often described as beautiful, especially when enjoying a drink by the water. Many guests appreciate the tastefully decorated and cosy rooms, complete with large showers, though some have noted that certain rooms can be a bit cold during the winter months. The vegan food options receive high praise, with guests highlighting dishes like the Juicy Marbles steak and eton mess, also noting that the breakfast can be a bit basic; the monkey lights also catch the eye of many visitors, who find them fabulous and relaxing. Guests also enjoy the proximity to Janet's Foss.

The staff was friendly and approachable. Mabel was very nice and friendly.
I was disappointed that the sheets didn't fit the bed properly. The bathroom had some mould issues. The room was also quite small and didn't match the pictures online. i found the noise from nearby rooms disruptive, and the presence of dogs barking plus the smell of wet dog was not ideal.
