“With excellent food and a welcoming staff, this is a very tempting countryside escape; some rooms offer particularly peaceful garden views. Though some may find aspects of the bathrooms a bit dated, the restaurant alone could be worth the trip. It's a solid choice, especially if true hospitality is a priority.”

A Balanced Experience

granola choice helpful staff furnished room stair climb shower control overhead lighting
The breakfast offered several choices. I especially enjoyed the granola and found it good I could purchase some from the shop. The staff was very helpful (a rare find these days). The rooms were well-furnished, and the garden offered a relaxing experience.
My room required me to climb stairs. The shower controls proved difficult to adjust. The overhead lighting could not be fully turned off and this bothered me.

adequate stay with some issues

difficult shower control simpler options
The shower controls were difficult. the temperature fluctuated. the sink faucets were separate and reversed. This was inconvenient. overhead lighting could not be completely turned off, annoying. i had to retrieve a heater from reception. the restaurant menu did not offer simpler options.

The staff was helpful. The bed was comfortable.
The shower temperature was inconsistent. The water pressure was also poor. Taps on the sink felt loose. I really expected better for the price.
