Acceptable Stay with Some Shortcomings

The room was clean, which I did appreciate.
The shower head in the bathroom had some black mould, not pleasant. Breakfast included fruit and a plastic-wrapped pain au chocolat left outside the room, and there was also bowls though no cereal or milk was provided. The hotel feels tired and in need of refurbishment.

the room provided a fan. i found a nice long mirror. the breakfast basket left outside my door included cereal packets plus milk and croissants. i also had an apple and an orange.
the shower head had some black mould coming from the holes.

The room was clean and tidy. Plenty of tea and coffee were available in the room. The staff members were really friendly and cute. The room had all the facilities that I needed.
I found no air-con in the room. I had to leave the window open because of it. This meant I was woken up early by external noise. The room was also very dimly lit. My wife had difficulty seeing and getting ready.

the location were fine and the staff was pleasant and helpful, so thats something.
the shower didn't work well, and i couldnt change the temperature so i get annoyed. also, there looked to be mold in parts of the shower base. this is not acceptable.

The location was really great. The heart of the town was easily accessible.
The noise insulation was terrible. I could hear every footstep from the room above mine, and the constant creaking kept me awake half the night. I found only one tiny bar of soap provided. I was not impressed.
