“A modern aesthetic pervades this property, and while some might find its roadside location and style a better fit for a city stopover, the interiors are reported as very clean and the beds comfortable. Dog-friendly policies and a good shower add to the appeal, though some have noted issues with road noise and room temperature control. Despite some concerns about the beer selection and pricing at the bar, the hotel provides a comfortable base for exploring the Peak District.”

scenic spotsgreat selectionbasic staffingbusy road
The location was close to many scenic and interesting spots. Breakfast had a great selection for all tastes, and i appreciated my pet being welcome anywhere in the building (he really enjoyed it).
The staffing felt very basic. There was self check in, but nobody was available to call if problems arose. My room faced a busy road. I had to keep the window open as there was no air conditioning, and it was noisy all night. (i should have asked for another room).

Lovely Stay Despite Minor Hiccups

hot showerfresh foodnoisy room
The room offered good space. I appreciated the hot shower. The continental breakfast included fresh food and much variety. The location is also perfect to discover nearby!
I experienced noise at night. The sound insulation from the road was not effective. The busy street made it difficult to sleep well. The door stoppers were missing, so it make loud noise at closing.
Dining

The restaurant service was very good during brunch. I had a caesar salad, that I found to be delicious. The selection of drinks include many options with good spirit quality. I really can't wait to be back.

The room was excellent! it was very modern and clean, i really liked it. the staff were so friendly! the lovely lady brought my partner's pudding to our room when he wanted a snack. I found that kind.
the bedroom window went all the way to the floor, though it gave little privacy from the car park. the rooms were unbearably hot at night! if you close the blackout blind to keep the early morning sun out, there's no air flow. an electric fan was provided, but it's noisy.
