decent location, irritating issues

Parking was a nightmare! the car park only has space for a few cars, most occupied by staff. This made arrival a bit stressful. the room decor seemed rather dated and tired. It needs updating. plus, i noticed a faint smell of damp, which wasn't exactly appealing.

the location was really convenient. the staff were good to chat with about the local area.

on arrival, the breakfast room seemed good, but the wait for the food took about an hour. this delay was quite long. also, while the room was clean, it was like the food options were limited.

charming stay, a real gem

the staff i encounter was the highlight of my time there. they remembered my name, that felt quite special. my room was spacious with a very comfy bed, , made a difference. the location was superb, so close to the castle and caverns, just a short walk.

breakfast did lack some orange juice, a small detail, but would improve the morning.

the hotel sits right on the main street and this provides easy access to nearby attractions. the castle is just behind it and the caverns were very close too. it makes exploring the area very convenient.

the dinner service i experienced was very good and this gave it a rustic feel. i liked the fact the food and wine were reasonably priced. the breakfast in the morning included delicious pancakes.

my room included a king bed, it was very comfy and quiet, this contributed to a restful stay. i had access to free wi-fi and a decent sized tv. the shower was also great, easy to use.

the hotel was generally clean and tidy, it gave a relaxing environment. i noticed the cleaning team were really good. they left a sweet treat for my little one on the bed, a thoughtful touch.
