Amber House is a superb base for touring South Devon and into Cornwall, with the major cities of Exeter and Plymouth approximately 1 hour's drive away. Amber House is 50 km from Exeter International. The scenery along the picturesque line is along the spectacular English Riviera Geopark coast line, then on through the wooded slopes of Long Wood bordering the Dart Estuary, then on to Kingswear. Super convenient location to move around Torbay without a car. It is also a superb base if you wish to leave the car behind.

Amber House offers easy strolls or long-distance footpaths such as The South West Coast Path, Dartmoor and South Hams district of Devon. Amber House is an ideal base to visit the many places so loved by Agatha Christie as a child and adult. Greenway and the Boathouse are inspiration for Nasse House, where the murder took place in Dead Man's Folly. The house still retains features added by all generations of occupying families. Stepping out of the UPVC door threshold leads to the concrete path of the garden. Amber House is an ideal place for dropping anchor for the night. There is a huge choice of places to eat with dogs.
