Really good Stay

I REALLY loved the separate dog friendly dining room, THAT was a great feature. The footpaths for dog walking were right from the hotel, made walks VERY accessible. Our room included a fridge and dog treats, VERY useful. The garden rooms even led directly out to the gardens
The children's menu lacked clarity regarding the available choices with some dishes

The boot room provided unlimited towels and washing facilities for dogs, VERY convenient after muddy walks. A dog field was also available. I noticed it was very useful for quick exercises.

A Wonderful, Dog-Friendly Stay

This hotel catered fantastically to my dog. A bed, bowl, and box of goodies were provided upon arrival. My room had a patio for painting and steps onto the garden. River walks are directly accessible, I did not need to use the car. The staff were friendly and helpful .
I could hear conversations and movement, especially in the evenings. This made it difficult to relax fully at times. Perhaps better sound insulation could help.

The hotel provides a dedicated room for drying dogs after walks. This room includes towels, very practical for managing wet dogs. Ample parking spaces are available onsite, conveniently located near the entrance.

The room had a very comfortable bed, pretty curtains and a view of the garden. A good selection of hot drinks and a kettle were available. The room included homemade biscuits to be enjoyed with tea.

The breakfast offers a lovely choice of options. The dinner menu changes each night, that presents a fresh selection. Food is beautifully presented with attention to detail, I really enjoyed the menu choices.

The staff provided friendly and professional service. They handled my food allergies with excellent care (I really appreciated that!). The food was fantastic. It included homemade breads and labneh cheese each night before dinner.
Our room was on the middle floor, it had low ceilings. I could hear every noise from people around the room (the walls seemed thin). I spoke to the receptionist about moving, but the hotel was fully booked.

the staff were all good. the housekeepers keep the rooms super clean.
I had a dreadful room. There were certainly no fluffy pillows. the furniture was rickety, and i had to go outside in the rain to reach the room. i hoped to watch the rugby, but the tv didn't work.
