historic charm with a friendly face
thoughtful gesturelovely gardensdated room
The staff showed me the castle's dungeon, this was a really thoughtful gesture. the setting is fine and the gardens around the castle were lovely. i also loved the main hotel building, it felt grand (a great place to explore!). breakfast was fine. It set me up for the day.
the room felt quite dated. there was also not much outside seating, which would have been nice to enjoy the lovely surroundings more.

the breakfast team was very attentive and friendly. i received a warm welcome each morning. the restaurant food tasted excellent (i particularly enjoyed the evening meals).
