The Victoria Hotel is often praised for its convenient location at the top of the high street, offering easy access to shops like Tesco, pubs, and takeaways, along with free on-site parking. Guests appreciate having access to a communal kitchen stocked with basics, and find the rooms spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and ample plug sockets; some rooms even include a mini-fridge. The building itself is characterful, though some guests have noted the potential for noise due to the proximity to the main bus terminus. Strong WiFi is another recurring positive.

The communal kitchen provided basic breakfast items, cutlery and crockery. My room was very clean and well-equipped with an en-suite shower and toilet. Ian greeted me warmly upon arrival, he gave all necessary information. Melissa was very friendly and helpful. She is an integral part of this place.
The hotel overlooks the main bus terminus, this location can be very noisy at night. Ear-plugs might not be sufficient for some guests. I kept the blinds up at all times for privacy.

The room was spacious and comfortable. I found excellent tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast supplies were available in the kitchen. It was very convenient.
The hotel felt dated. Bedding and towels did not feel particularly fresh. Noise from upstairs guests walking after midnight was disturbing. This kept me awake.
