Dining Experiences
Vestry, a Michelin-starred restaurant led by Chef Shaun Hergatt, features seasonal plates focused on seafood and vegetables. El Ta'Koy provides a year-round modern Hawaiian gastronomic experience from Chef Luis Pous, with lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Mezzanine offers American cuisine with specialty cocktails, wines, and spirits. El Ta'Koy poolside provides an indoor-outdoor bar and restaurant. A grab-and-go menu, featuring pastries, is available in the morning.

skyline view room good location subway lovely lobby slow elevator wait high price hotel few service
the room was a skyline view king room. i appreciated the hotel's location, it was close to the subway. the lobby felt lovely.
the elevators were slow, i had to wait a long time sometimes. the price felt too high for what i got. i thought there were few services included.

long wait times mini bar prices
the location was acceptable.
the elevator wait times were ridiculous (seriously, it seemed like an eternity sometimes). also, i found the mini bar prices outrageous. charging that much for a small bottle of water is just taking advantage of guests.

really good stay SO close to soho
skyline view wonderful staff luxury touch spaciousness notable
i stayed in a skyline view KING room, and the views were excellent. The room's spaciousness was notable, and the touch of luxury was welcome. Staff at the door WERE always wonderful and helpful. I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning.
i did notice a few minor maintenance points around the hotel. I expected that these issues would not exist in a five STAR hotel. It was a slight detraction from an otherwise wonderful experience.

the hotel's location near soho provides easy access to shops and dining. The subway is close by, and it IS away from the chaos of times square. This creates a balance of accessibility and tranquility.

breakfast had very high prices BUT the service was commendable. There are many restaurants near the building providing diverse options. The breakfast offered a variety of choices that were prepared well, but pricey.

Satisfactory Stay, Some Dated Elements
comfortable bed clean room slow elevator elevator issue
The room provided an amazing view of the Hudson River and the Financial District. I stayed in a So-Hi Room on the 38th floor. The room was big and clean, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had everything I needed.
The hotel elevators caused some inconvenience. I read reviews complaining about them. It was rarely busy during my five-day stay, but the elevators were slow at times.

mixed feelings about this stay
outrageous prices lift maintenance
the location of the hotel was acceptable, placing me close to various points of interest.
I found the minibar prices outrageous. i got charged $24 for a bag of chips and a clif bar. this was like a complete rip-off. lifts were also undergoing maintenance. It regularly took 5-10 minutes to go upstairs or downstairs.

separate sinks convenient location
my skyline view king room had excellent features. The room included two separate sinks and a rainfall shower. Trader Joe's is across the street too, it is a very convenient location.
