the location was convenient. it was near strood train station.

the room was not clean as i expected. stains were present on the carpet, duvet, and pillow. also, the showerhead in the bathroom was partially detached and i see the sink was cracked.

The room felt a little dated. The shower drain was slow and it took a while for the water to go down! the soundproofing wasn't great. I could hear noise from the nearby train station quite a bit, especially early mornings.

the hotel was a short walk to strood town centre and fifteen minutes from rochester high street. i appreciated being virtually opposite strood railway station, and it was very quiet! the staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and a good size. The staff were very attentive. The receptionist always checked that we had enough coffee. Tea and sugar were always available. Access to the hotel after hours was easy.

The train station next to the hotel was very loud! It made for a long night. It was difficult to find the breakfast area. I eventually found it in the cellar. The selection was pretty basic.
