Really good Grandeur and Comfort

spacious room colonial charm central location
The lady at check-in upgraded our room. It was a GREAT surprise. The room was spacious, with colonial charm evident throughout. The hotel's location is perfect. It is right in the CBD. It is a short walk to South Bank and the botanical garden.
The parking access was slightly inconvenient. One had to walk downstairs, outside, enter another door, and then take two different lifts to reach the car park.
Rooms
9/10
The room had very high ceilings. There were detailed cornices. The bathroom included a separate shower and a large soaking tub.
Service
10/10
The staff was attentive to our needs. The concierge provided knowledgeable assistance. They answered all our questions promptly.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast offered top marks for presentation and flavour. Room service delivered a restaurant-worthy steak. The coffee barista was amazing!!!
Location
10/10
The hotel is situated in the heart of the city. It is within walking distance of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre. Southbank Parklands is also nearby.
Facilities

The hotel features heritage architecture from approximately 1885. The building is quite grand. It is very well-kept.
