The 3AA rosette restaurant at Thornbury Castle offers British-inspired cuisine. Executive Chef Carl Cleghorn and Food & Beverage Manager Frederic Bellard lead a talented team. Dinner service is from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. A Three-Course Dinner Menu offers seasonal dishes with ingredients from the kitchen garden. Afternoon Tea (£45 pp) is available daily from 1-4 PM. A lunch menu is available in the library and lounge areas, with a children's menu. For special occasions, private dining rooms of various sizes are available. The hotel's goal is to be a place where all guests can relax, enjoy themselves, and have a break from normal life. A delicious buffet breakfast is served, and a four-course Gala Farewell dinner is available from 7:30 PM, with entertainment by an acoustic guitarist.

Thornbury Castle provides activities and grounds. Explore the Privy Garden and Labyrinth, each offering a Tudor garden experience. The Privy Garden has white-flowering foliage, while the Labyrinth features wildflowers and tulips from April through June. Walk through the Rose Garden with 200 stems chosen for their historical roots. The New Orchard is grazed by Boreray Sheep. You may wish to take part in traditional Tudor activities in the grounds, including axe throwing and longbow. Enjoy the historical fineries and contemporary luxuries behind the doors of the rooms.
Location and Access
Thornbury Castle is 40 km from Bristol, making it accessible to Bristol Zoo, The Cotswolds, and Westonbirt Arboretum. The castle is near the Cheltenham Festival, from March 14th-17th. A helipad is available within the castle grounds. The castle is near Jekka's Herb Farm (3.5 km), Thornbury Museum (1 km), and 6 O'clock Gin Distillery (2 km).
