Rooms: Unique Features

Eight features twenty ensuite rooms across two Georgian townhouses in Bath's old town. Room options include standard, snug and superior double rooms, large triple rooms, and family rooms. Room 1 is a deluxe double room; Room 2 is a triple room. Room 9 can be a twin or superior double. Room 10 is a large double with a sunken bathroom and twin showers. Room 11 is a large double with a bath, while Room 12 is a large superior room. Room 14 is a large family room. Room 15 is a signature deluxe double with a freestanding bath. Rooms 16 and 19 have views of Bath Abbey. Room 17 can be arranged as a twin or large superior room. Rooms 17 and 21 place you among the branches of the Plane tree. Standard amenities include tea/coffee facilities, a flat-screen TV, and free toiletries. Guests can request extra towels, bottled water, tea, and milk.

Dining: Eight Restaurant

Eight provides à la carte breakfast, served daily from 8am to 10am for £20 per person. The restaurant is intimate, overlooking the lane through bay windows. Chef Fred Lavault creates dishes with interesting flavor combinations. Puddings include berry trifle with coconut Chantilly cream. An early dinner menu offers any two savory dishes for £22. Guests can pair their selections with a wine from the extensive wine list; wines by the glass are recommended for each of the eight savory dishes. There is also a natty bar with deep blue walls and bare wood tables. Juices, fruit salad, cereals and yogurts are available for breakfast, as well as cooked options including poached egg dishes and English fry-ups.
