The Princess Victoria offers five bedrooms on the top floor, each named after gin cocktails with bespoke artwork. Every room includes a Shakespeare pocket spring bed (super king, king, or twin), Egyptian cotton linen, a Smart HD TV, free WiFi, an en-suite bathroom with a rain shower, air conditioning, a Nespresso machine, black-out blinds, a mini-fridge, and a safe. Gibson rooms provide a super king size or twin Shakespeare bed, a double shower, a desk, a Nespresso machine, free Wifi, Smart HD TV, safe and mini fridge.
British Isles Cuisine
The Princess Victoria focuses on ingredients from small producers across the British Isles. Options include Devonshire potted crab with sourdough, beer-battered fish with hand-cut chips and pea purée, a 10oz sirloin steak and chips, and a Portobello mushroom burger with red onion jam. Stone-baked pizzas and knickerbocker glories are also available. On Mondays, enjoy an 8oz beef burger or Redefine plant-based burger with relish, mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and fries plus a pint of house draft lager or ale for £15. On Wednesdays, enjoy two 10oz sirloin steaks, two portions of chips, peppercorn sauce, a Parmesan and rocket salad to share AND a bottle of Malbec (Finca La Colonia Coléccion, Mendoza, Argentina) for £45. Takeaway pizza is available for £8.
Events and Socializing
The Princess Victoria is suited for parties, business lunches, weddings, and wakes. Individual areas can be reserved. The 1829 Room, a private space upstairs, has its own cocktail bar. The venue can host small gatherings or larger funeral receptions for up to 200 people. For weddings, the venue is licensed for exchanging vows. The bar and dining room can seat 80 guests, or host 180 standing. The front terrace and rear courtyard garden accommodate alfresco aperitifs or digestifs. There are highchairs, baby changing facilities, coloring-in books and crayons.
