The Passage, a four-star hotel in downtown Basel, offers rooms, lofts, and suites with designer décor. Standard rooms feature huge windows. Rooms are soundproofed with triple-glazed windows and include a flat-screen TV, an iPod dock, a laptop safe, and a coffee machine. Bathrooms have Italian rain showers and Clarins toiletries. The mezzanine rooms offer 27m² of space. Lofts are located on the top floor with options for city views and balconies. Some lofts include kitchenettes. Junior Suites span 40m² and include a seating area. The Passage Suite, on the top floor, provides 47m² of space with separate living areas.
Breakfast & Drinks
Breakfast is served in the lobby or on the patio and includes homemade bircher muesli and eggs. The Passage hotel bar serves beverages and finger food. The Passage café bar offers drinks with courtyard seating.
Fitness and Relaxation
The exclusive fitness center features Technogym(R) equipment. Every machine has an HDTV screen and an iPod docking station. A Finnish sauna is available. Changing rooms include Rainshower showerheads. There is also a relaxation area.
Location and Transport
The Passage is located in downtown Basel, a few minutes' walk from the city center and close to the SBB train station. It is also close to The Congress Center Basel. Nearby landmarks include the Kunstmuseum, with art from the 15th through the 20th centuries, and the Fondation Beyeler. The Messe, which hosts Art Basel, is a few minutes away. The hotel is located in Vorstädte, near Basel University and the Kunstmuseum Basel. Parking is available at the Steinen parking lot.
Hotel Services
The Passage provides a designer conference room that can be used for up to two hours. The 30m² meeting room accommodates up to 12 people. Audio-visual equipment is available upon request. The hotel offers a designer conference room. A 'cashless' system also means that we are able to improve our service and our customer experience. Only card payments are accepted (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro and JCB). There is an additional Swiss tourist tax of 4.20 CHF/day/person. You will be given Mobility Tickets upon arrival.
