“I like that this hotel sits right in the heart of Alton, close to the Jane Austen's House Museum, and also welcomes pets. The karaoke nights could be a drawback if you are noise-sensitive, although, I appreciate the on-site bar and the food; the ribs are noteworthy, along with a good selection of real ales. I think the lack of dedicated parking is the only real inconvenience, but there's a public car park nearby.”

clean room bottled water friendly staff

the room was clean and inviting , and i found it quiet. bottled water in the room was a kind touch. the staff were friendly and helpful.

the nearby car park proved quite expensive , with no parking at the hotel itself.

The location suited my needs. The proximity to key sites was a plus, and access from the train station proved simple. The room's size was adequate for my short stay. The comfort was noticeable after long days.

I encountered some noise due to the hotel's proximity to a bar, specifically on a Saturday night. The noise lasted until about 1 a.m. This might be a consideration for light sleepers.
