charming stay, a real find!
genuine prideexposed brickwarm greetingslippery staircase
the owner, paul, greeted me warmly and showed genuine pride in the hotel. my room was a lovely beautiful king room! it was spacious. the hotel had character with exposed brick walls, it charmed me. i felt welcome from the first moment.
Accessing the hotel was a bit tricky. There were many stairs. i found a slippery metal staircase outside, a slight inconvenience.

the host was genuinely friendly and helpful, a great personal touch to the stay. paul provided a guided tour upon arrival, and everything i needed was explained. the customer service stood out.

the hotel exuded character through features like exposed brick walls, very neat. the building felt old, maybe 150 years, yet it showed signs of beautiful restoration. these features definitely added to the charm.

the building is beautiful inside. the brick work really adds charm. the room was lovely and clean. the bed was very comfy. i will definitely be returning.
there were no dinner options in the hotel, i was expecting a bistro (i think that would be great).

the hotel is near to the city. it is also a short ride to the football grounds. taxis into the city do not take long. an uber to the center takes around ten minutes.

the customer service was fantastic from start to end. i found paul very helpful and friendly. he explained everything very well. he showed us around everywhere and he was a really lovely person.

tea and coffee are available in the room. i was missing more options for dinner. a bistro in the hotel would be a plus (especially for late arrivals).

the owner was very cute. he explained all the parking details before my arrival. the room was very comfy and tidy. i could get great rest.
Accessing the hotel was difficult. Lots of stairs were present. i had to wait 45 minutes to be let in! there was no one on site. this was unusual.
