the location suited dales high way walking. staff stored my bike safely. facilities were cleaned well. breakfast includes good full english options. the staff was great. i felt welcomed upon arrival. i would come back because of this.
the hot water took time to recover after showers, so i had to plan shower times.

Staff were lovely and very accommodating to my late check in. They prepared a pizza after my walk. they made sure i had eaten. nothing was too much trouble for them and breakfast was delicious.

the location is fine. it is a real country pub. the atmosphere felt genuinely friendly to me. it made it easy to access local trails.
The staff was AMAZING!!! I found the service to be friendly and efficient. My room was nice and neat. The breakfast I had was delicious and provided a good start to my day.
The television remote was missing its back cover, and batteries were held by tape.

The location proved acceptable. It was central.
I found the breakfast underwhelming. Its selection was very limited. the cooked breakfast required pre-ordering. This felt inconvenient. the bar area was quite crowded and many dogs were present.
the rooms were clean. tea and coffee facilities were fantastic.
the bathroom door did not open properly. the bathroom door had no lock.

The location is central, directly on the village's cobbled streets near the fountain. The hotel offered an excellent beer selection including several local real ales plus a good selection of non-alcoholic options. Home-cooked food was served by a friendly team, I found it simple and good. My room was very comfortable and the bath had very hot water.

mixed feelings about my stay

breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly.
the bathroom door did not open properly it also lacked a lock so privacy was compromised. i didn't sleep well because the bed creaked every time i moved it. the tv flashed at 3am so it was really annoying.
