The Crown Inn is often praised for its excellent food, particularly the breakfast and Sunday sharing boards in the bar. Many guests appreciate the modern annexe rooms, noting their spaciousness, nice decoration, and quiet atmosphere. Some rooms feature shaded terraces perfect for outdoor dining, and parking is conveniently close to the bedrooms. While some found the Sunday lunch underwhelming and the tables a bit close together, the dining area is generally considered a pleasure to eat in.

friendly staff comfortable bed faultless food frozen chips small gateau high price
the staff were friendly, especially the person who checked us in when we arrived (even though the bar was busy!). the bed was super comfortable. the food was faultless, i mean really delicious.
my recent visit was disappointing. the burger i ordered came with what i would describe as frozen chips. my dark chocolate gateau was quite small, especially considering the price.

lukewarm meal bland gravy
The bedroom was great with a modern bathroom, smart and clean. The shower worked great.
I was expecting a top notch Sunday lunch considering the price. The meal was underwhelming. The whole meal was lukewarm and the gravy wasn't even hot to warm the food up.

big room airy room nice toiletries frozen chips small gateau high price
the room was lovely, big, and airy with an outside seating area which was a lovely surprise! the bathroom was huge and provided some really nice toiletries. the pub had a great atmosphere and i enjoyed my evening.
i ordered a burger which was tasty but arrived with what i would describe as frozen mass produced straight cut chips, no garnish whatsoever. my burger looked somewhat lost on the plate. my dark chocolate gateau promised to be a delight but again although tasty was no bigger than a kipling sponge pudding and was a whopping £11.
