spacious room air conditioning efficient staff slow service poor service customer service
I thought the room was VERY spacious. I found the heating and air conditioning option good. The staff was cheerful and efficient. Nothing seemed TOO much trouble for them.
The bar service was poor. It was slow, and I waited a long time for a drink even though I arrived before others. This was a bit rubbish really. The experience was disappointing.

spacious suite secure parking quick checkout
The parking had plenty of spaces. I was upgraded to a suite. It was spacious, super clean and well equipped. Breakfast was great!!! Checkout was quick and easy.

The breakfast included a generous menu. i found the central location convenient. It was within walking distance to everything. i especially liked that the location was near the castle and town center. the airport bus stop was directly outside the hotel too.
i found only four hangers in the closet. there was no dresser, just cubby holes. the bed was fair to poor.

the breakfast room felt cosy, offering food choices suiting various tastes. the restaurant also allows fine dining, providing an upscale experience. egg royal options were available, a very nice touch for breakfast or brunch.

The sound protection in my room facing the high street was good. the room had carpet floors. The bathroom seemed luxurious. toiletries from l'occitane were offered which shows attention to detail.

The hotel has a splendid garden suitable for afternoon tea or cocktails. i liked that private parking was offered. the building has retained a lot of character. The annex is across from reception near the top room.

tasteful decoration wide choice relaxing terrace perfect lounge
The room was tastefully decorated. I found the food to be AMAZING!!! There was a wide choice, including gluten-free options. The terrace was perfect, as were the lounges.
The water pressure in the mosaic bath was slow.

The staff was very polite, attentive, and cute . I experienced great service from Blake at the bar, who looked after us with drinks. The reception staff was consistently friendly and helpful.

My room was lovely and also quiet. The room was comfortable, and I liked the thoughtful decoration throughout. The shower was great and also easy to use for a quick clean.

Parking was secure, and I found there were plenty of spaces available. The hotel's location allows for easy access to the centre. I enjoyed the convenience of getting to surrounding areas.

comfy bed air conditioning double shower vegetarian option long wait dining chair
The bed in the superior king room was very comfy. air conditioning worked very well. It was easy to control. the bathroom included a large, deep bath and a double shower.
the menus did not have a great vegetarian option. i had to wait a long time for my order to be taken at breakfast. the chairs in the dining room were also too low for comfort.

Acceptable stay with MINOR issues
large bathroom complimentary toiletries complimentary drinks shower drainage slippery floor missing carpet
The bathroom was large. I also appreciated the lovely complimentary toiletries. The mini fridge included some complimentary drinks. This was a nice touch.
The shower did NOT drain away. It practically flooded the room. I had to get the guy on reception to bring towels. I helped clean it up because the floors are not carpeted. I nearly fell several times because the floor was slippery.
