unstable shower partial view

the shower temperature was unpredictable, swinging from icy cold to scalding hot without warning. it made for a rather thrilling start to the day, although perhaps not in the way i'd prefer. also, the promised sea view from my 'superior' room turned out to be more of a partial glimpse between two buildings. a bit cheeky, i thought.

wonderful stay

early check-in clean room great host tasty meal

we had the option for an early check-in two hours before time the room was clean i had a choice among similar room types available simon was a great host i asked for extra amenities and got them the meal was tasty the room was big and near the beach.

the street outside was not the hotel's fault and looked a little run down

bright rooms clean room lovely breakfast uncomfortable beds early light run down street

the rooms were bright. they were also clean. breakfast was lovely. the staff was fantastic. i found this place super clean.

the beds are most uncomfortable ever slept on. the blinds had no curtains so it was light very early. the street is run down. it is also unsightly.

The room included a smart tv with amazon prime. Netflix was also available for personal log-in. alexa was on the bedside, a very nice touch.

the shower was a bit small though it worked very well and heated up quickly.

superb stay

modern room coffee availability friendly owner

i found the room very clean and modern. complimentary tea and coffee were available, as were toiletries and towels. simon, the owner, was very friendly and accommodating (this made a difference). i enjoyed a lovely breakfast with plenty of choice.

i noticed the street looked run down. it was a bit unsightly. this is not the hotel's fault.

the location is fabulous. it is just a minute's walk from the beach and promenade. shops, pubs, and takeaways are a few minutes away. the center is a short walk along the front.

ample facilities parking space quick check-in uncomfortable bed thin blind rundown street

simon greeted me upon my arrival and showed me to my room quickly. he offered me a parking space out back (i thought that was nice). the room had all the facilities i needed. everything was colour coordinated.

the beds were not very comfortable for me. i found no curtains, only blinds, so it was light early. the street outside felt run down, unfortunately.
