the staff were helpful and accommodating. the food was also very good indeed! i was given a lift to a wedding nearby, a really nice touch.
despite the website stating a gentle rumble of trains, i could feel the vibrations as the trains whizzed past until 1am. the trains recommenced at 5am.

The staff welcomed me warmly and elevated my stay. the location allowed easy exploration of the south downs. I loved this accessibility. the food was good, a real treat after a day of walking and fresh air.
the trains were a tad noisy at times, but i got used to them quickly.

My beautiful double room garden view room was recently refurbished and included a super clean bathroom. i found the bed very comfy. It allowed for peaceful nights. there was also a fridge downstairs for fresh milk.

South Downs Exploration Base

The location was a perfect base for exploring the South Downs. Staff showed top-rate customer service to me. I received a phone call from the manager to check my arrival time for food. I got a lovely breakfast of pain au chocolat, croissants, and tea cakes even though the pub was closed.
The train vibrations and noise continued until 1 AM then started again at 5 AM making restful sleep difficult

The room was very very comfy and tidy and it had fresh milk available downstairs in a small fridge I used. The view overlooked the South Downs. It was lovely from the room. The bed was comfortable too I rested very well.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, they provided great customer service. I found the location perfectly situated for my travel needs. The room had a high standard shower. The nature park reservoir nearby was a nice surprise for a quiet rural walk.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Little extras, like fresh milk in the fridge for tea, were welcome. The location was perfect for visiting Drusillas and taking countryside walks. The pub also served delicious food, it was a treat.
