A lovely stay

delicious gravy friendly staff homely feel spacious room
i had the sunday roast, and every element was delicious, especially the thick gravy. the staff were friendly, smiley and prompt. the building had a lovely homely feel, particularly in the bar and in my room.
i noticed some wear and tear in my spacious, well-equipped room, but it didn't significantly impact my stay.

i found the room super clean. the ensuite bathroom had nice toiletries. breakfast was varied with hot, tasty options (especially the pastries).
the bar area was a bit understaffed at one point.

The location was just off the littlehampton road. the rooms were very comfortable and well-appointed. i found plenty of car parking, and there was a good gastropub on site. It.
The restaurant did not seem clean to me. I saw pieces of bread on the floor. i also saw dirty napkins from previous guests. the staff did not pick those up, instead they just stepped over them.

the room was superior double room. the shower was REALLY good. Breakfast was very tasty, and i have the expanding waist to prove IT. the staff were professional.
the room looked lovely. when we returned to the room late we spent an hour trying to eradicate all the MOSQUITOS. whilst doing this we discovered the room was very dusty. not what i expect.

I enjoyed the breakfast. It was fantastic and started the day well. The Celeriac and Lentil pie I had for a late lunch was really good. Full marks given to the chef, they have skills.

dusty room mosquito problem
the room was lovely initially however i discovered several mosquitos later i spent a while trying to eliminate them. i also found quite a bit of dust. there were cobwebs and dust on the lampshade. i was told that they do spray, but this wasn't enough considering the price paid.

the room featured a comfy bed and ensured super quiet. i loved that they accommodated my dog so nicely. this place is pet friendly! the location is fine with lots of nice walks around. it's super close to the beach.
the showers felt a bit weird but i think its a minor inconvenience considering everything else was so well done.
