My room was close to the road, but it wasn't an issue at all! I enjoyed a tasty chicken burger at the restaurant. The waitresses were very attentive. The meal WAS great!!!
The information booklet in my room mentioned how to dial other rooms and reception, but there was no phone in the room.

the decor has an amazing art deco style. being right by the airfield made it interesting. i enjoyed watching microlights, wing walkers, a spitfire, helicopters and light aircraft. the reception staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
the movement of other guests around the hotel can be heard.

the hotel is next to the airfield, a real plus for aviation enthusiasts.. planes are constantly taking off and landing. the craft and garden center beckworth emporium is also close, worth visiting.

i found the restaurant and bar to be great. breakfast had gluten free options available, a bonus for those who need them. afternoon tea was excellent value, with lots of delicious food including gluten free choices.

i liked the art deco style and the food was delicious. the staff were very friendly! i also enjoyed the attention to detail throughout the hotel, i spotted the fabulous aeroplane lights at breakfast. i saw the propeller fixings on the patio balustrade.

the double room was very clean! it seemed well maintained. the whole hotel was like we were stepping into an art deco museum, a immersive experience that i found nice.

the receptionist anne was helpful and polite, an absolute credit to the hotel. the staff were friendly. the hotel was fully booked due to a wedding! prompt service was maintained with a smile.
