mixed feelings about this hotel

hard boiled eggs leather bacon

the steak i ordered one evening WASN'T cooked as requested. i wanted it rare, but it came out medium to well done. the next morning at breakfast, my poached eggs were hard boiled, and the bacon was like leather. it reminded me of everything was pre-cooked and kept under heat lamps. DISAPPOINTING.

classic hotel experience

friendly staff bonus car park

staff helped us. the building is lovely, kept in good condition. drinks were served with a smile during the day and breakfast. there are nice seating areas throughout and a car park is another bonus.

the water stopped working in the morning about 1.5 hours before we checked out, so a shower was not possible before leaving.

a mixed experience

loud floorboards bathroom fan

The bathroom fan made so much noise. It stayed on forever even after i turned off the light. it was hard to get any sleep because of how loud the floorboards above me were. plus, i had to leave really early for work, but breakfast didn't start until 7:30. the staff member checking me out didn't even ask if i had a good stay she only wanted to know if i had paid.
