mixed bag, innit?

cobwebs in corners expired biscuits
the room i was given, a 'standard double or twin room', it felt a bit... tired. not helped that there was cobwebs in corners, like spider families had squatters rights. and the complimentary biscuits? best before date was a distant memory, several months back, i think. it's like they were daring me to eat them.

Decent Stay. Some Issues Present

beautiful grounds misty waters friendly staff dark place missing decorations closed restaurant
I enjoyed the grounds that went down to the Cleddau. I also appreciated seeing the bats at night. The location is great for walks and misty waters. The staff were very friendly at all times. My room was very comfortable.
I found the place dark on arrival. I noticed no Christmas decorations were present. I was informed that the restaurant was closed. I think this should have been highlighted more prominently.

Underwhelming stay. Decor needs updating

dated decor slow restaurant service
the grounds were quite beautiful and offered a nice escape into nature.
The room i was given, the classic double or twin room, was not what i expected. the decor felt dated and tired. i also found that the restaurant service was quite slow. It took an excessive amount of time before my meal arrived. overall, the experience left me somewhat disenchanted.
