broken towel rail unsafe wiring

the hotel's location was acceptable since it was central.

the room condition was poor. the door did not lock and featured a strange alarm system. wiring looked unsafe plus i noted a broken towel rail in the bathroom. i would expect better maintenance for this price point.

leaking shower check-in mess

the location was decent enough for exploring the area.

Check-in was like a complete circus. the room itself was subpar and the shower leaked, barely reaching five and a half feet in height. I avoided eating there or using the kettle.

the room was clean and the bathroom had recently been refitted (i appreciated that).

The shower was not functioning properly. I found the shower fixture broken, rather inconvenient. the shower's condition needs attention.

friendly staff comfortable beds dated building tatty carpets

the staff were very friendly and helpful. they let me leave my bags after i checked out so i could visit the beach (that was nice of them). the beds were also comfortable. the shower bath worked well once i understood the taps, and the water pressure was great.

finding a parking space was difficult (i drove around for 30 minutes). i parked about a 10 minute walk away. the building is quite dated and could use an upgrade. i noticed tatty carpets and wires hanging off the walls.

perfect central stay!

ground floor helpful staff central location triple room

the staff kindly offered a ground floor room when they learned my mother had trouble with stairs this meant we didn't have to worry about navigating any extra steps with our luggage they also helped us several times to sort out our belongings. the central location was really convenient for exploring local attractions. there was good availability including a triple room so we could all stay together easily.

i noticed the signage made it obvious that the hotel also functions as an indian restaurant which also offers takeaway fish and chips it was a bit confusing to see this combination right at the entrance.
