Review summary

The Royal Kings Arms enjoys a superb Lancaster location, just a minute's walk from the castle and Main Street shops and restaurants. The Christmas dinner is a highlight for some families, with repeat bookings common, and the breakfast is excellent. While some guests have noted that bathrooms in certain rooms are a little old, the powerful showers are generally well-received.

acceptable stay, some issues present

inconsistent temperatureunwelcoming reception
The shower temperature was not consistent. It alternated between scalding hot and icy cold. this issue should have been addressed during a routine inspection. additionally, the reception staff lacked sufficient communication skills. they came across as unwelcoming as a result.

A satisfactory stay

convenient locationhelpful staffcomfortable bedsmall fanbed socketlost charger
The location is really convenient. I could easily walk to many attractions. Staff members were helpful with directions. My room had comfortable beds.
The room lacked proper cooling. I only had a small fan. There was no bedside socket. I had to plug the fan far away by the TV. I forgot my charger in the room. It was not found.
