a somewhat underwhelming experience.
dated room little variety
The room felt quite dated, and the bathroom could use some updating. I spotted some wear and tear. breakfast didn't offer a lot of variety. dinner at the hotel was disappointing too.

wonderful experience, river views were a treat
perfect shower soft bed restaurant views
the beautiful double room castle view included a perfect shower. the bed was so soft, i slept like a baby. breakfast included fresh pastries and a wide selection of fruit. i found the restaurant views great.
the elevator was slightly slow and seemed to need maintenance.

the hotel boasts a fantastic location close to the river. the castle is visible from many vantage points, including rooms. there is great access to shops nearby and restaurants are a short walk.

early check-in convenient location nice pool
The hotel provided early check-in. I appreciated the location, convenient for the marathon. The pool was a nice amenity for post-race recovery.

decent stay with minor drawbacks
friendly staff good breakfast outdated bathroom distant room
i found the staff very friendly and helpful. the breakfast was first class with good variety.
The bathroom looked outdated. the central lighting didn't work, it was a bit inconvenient. the only available room was very faraway. It was not ideal to repack and drag all the luggage.

friendly staff large selection late noise cigarette smell
The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast had a large selection of food that tasted good. I appreciated the car park on the premises. It made coming and going very easy.
The hotel hosted several events and weddings. This resulted in lots of noise late into the night from people partying. Guests smoked between the entry doors. The hall had a strong cigarette smell because of it.

taped-up elevator worn carpets
the location was acceptable to my standards. parking was also available.
the lack of proper maintenance is unacceptable. i observed a taped-up elevator button which is a clear indication of neglect. also, the room lacked air conditioning which meant discomfort. the carpets was worn, and they certainly detracted from the hotel's appearance.
