“This historic coaching inn, a Grade II listed building, certainly stands out with its preserved original features and prime location in the heart of Monmouth; add to this its dog-friendly policies and you have a winner. I think the vibrant pub atmosphere, complete with locally sourced dishes and live music, makes it a social hub and a comfortable place to unwind, although the breakfast room service might not suit every traveller.”
