Dining at Preciados
CAFÉ VARELA is one of Madrid's famous historical cafés from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, where writers like Pío Baroja and Antonio Machado met. The restaurant serves traditional Spanish cuisine. A large buffet is available at breakfast, with fresh orange juice, homemade pastries, bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit, and cereals. The menu includes Galician octopus and Burgos morcilla sausage. Traditional Madrilenian cocido stew is served on Thursdays. Children's meals are available. Room service is available from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The Preciados Hotel is between the Puerta del Sol and the Gran Vía, the main shopping area, in Madrid's Centro district. The hotel is near cultural attractions, shops, and musicals. The nearest metro stations are Callao and Santo Domingo. It is a 2-minute walk to Puerta del Sol and a 5-minute walk to Sol and Opera stations. To drive from the airport, continue straight to Plaza de la Independencia, take Calle Gran Vía to Plaza de España, and take Calle San Bernardo to Plaza de Santo Domingo. The hotel is at the corner of Plaza de Santo Domingo and Calle Preciados No. 37. Nearby landmarks include the Prado National Museum (1.5 km), Plaza Mayor (0.5 km), and the Royal Palace of Madrid (1 km).
Transport and Parking
The hotel provides its own car park with valet parking for €30 per day. Airport transportation is available for €30 and takes about 25 minutes. Public transport to the airport costs €5 and takes about 45 minutes. The Santo Domingo metro station (red line - 2) and Callao metro station (green and yellow lines - 5 and 3) are 75 meters from the hotel.
