The breakfast was good, with a decent selection of items.

The room was not as clean as i expected. There was noticeable dust and dirt in several areas. I found the cleanliness to be below the standard I anticipate from a hotel. This detracted from my overall experience.

I was pleased with the building's historical aspect. The staff was helpful. Many of the other guests were friendly. Our bedroom was large with a coffee machine and bedside charging points. Food had good value with both la carte and table d'hôte menus.

The power sockets were mostly close to the floor making charging devices slightly inconvenient.

The hotel is a short walk into town. I also found it to be close to the Pitlochry Dam. The immediate area offers amazing scenery. It is off the beaten path but accessible.

Staff members were cheerful plus helpful throughout my visit. The waiting staff were well trained plus friendly. The bar staff was also friendly and quick to serve. It looked like a well organized set up at both dinner and breakfast.

Our room included a separate bathroom. I found a bath was included. There was plenty of hot water with good pressure. An extra heater in the room was also provided as a bonus.
