Pen-Y-Bont Hotel offers five rooms, each named after a local historical figure and detailed in a booklet. The rooms overlook St Mary's Church and Craig Goch mountain. There are three Double Guest Rooms, one Twin Guest Room, and a Family Room. The Family Room accommodates three to five people. All rooms include flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, and tea/coffee facilities. Bathrooms are ensuite with showers, except for the Family Room, which has a full-size bathroom with a bath. The Family Room, known as the Madam Beavan room, features a separate entrance and car park access via a ramp. It includes a main bedroom with a double bed and two single beds, plus a small adjoining single bedroom, accommodating up to five guests. The Lewis Griffiths twin room includes two single beds and views of Craig Goch mountainside and St Mary's Church. Each double room provides a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a hairdryer. In addition, Sea Moss Cabin, located at Woodlands Holiday Park, Bryncrug, provides accommodations for one or two people with views of the coast.

The Pen-Y-Bont Hotel features a Fireside Restaurant serving home-cooked cuisine. Guests can dine by log fires or in the lakeside garden and courtyard flower garden. The Fireside Bar offers a selection of beers, wines from Tanners Wines of Shrewsbury, and spirits. Popular dishes include Homemade Chicken Pancake, Welsh Lamb Shepherd's Pie, and Chicken Madras Curry, with vegetarian alternatives. Packed lunches are available upon request.
Leisure and Views
Guests can enjoy views of Tal-y-Llyn Lake and the surrounding mountains. Nearby attractions include Corris Mine Explorers, King Arthur's Labyrinth, and Corris Craft Centre, all within 4.5 km. The world's first preserved railway is in Abergynolwyn. Sea Moss Cabin guests have access to the Woodlands Holiday Park's outdoor swimming pool and launderette. Footpaths around the gardens and woodlands offer vantage points for sea and mountain views.
Location and Access
Pen-Y-Bont Hotel is on the B4405 opposite St Mary's Church in Talyllyn. It is 100 km from Chester Hawarden Airport. Dolgellau is north of Cader Idris. The hotel is accessible from the A487 between Dolgellau and Machynlleth, towards Tywyn. From Tywyn, follow the A493 to Bryncrug. Rear access to all rooms is available via a ramp and car park.
