friendly staff amazing breakfast comfortable room poor wifi limited space obstructed view
The staff was super friendly, especially at check-in! breakfast was amazing in the morning. I really enjoyed the quality and choices offered. my room felt very comfortable and provided an ideal getaway for my weekend.
The wifi connection was poor. It kept dropping after just a few seconds. there was very little hanging space, only one coat hanger. it was hard to watch tv from the bed because the bed rail obscured part of the screen.

mixed feelings about my stay

noisy room congested room
i was quite disappointed by a few aspects. the alternative entrance was right next to my room on the ground floor. guests used it at all hours. this resulted in a lot of noise at night and early in the morning. the room felt congested due to unnecessary furniture. the road noise was also bothersome despite the expected location.

fantastic stay

english breakfast central location
i found the breakfast tasty, offering a proper full english breakfast. the central location at the bottom of mermaid street provided easy access to many local attractions. a travel cot for my toddler was thoughtfully provided as well.
the absence of a lift created a minor inconvenience, particularly when carrying luggage to the upper floors. navigating the staircase proved slightly challenging.

Acceptable stay

friendly staff comfortable bed nice bar noisy entrance ground floor noisy room
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They seemed genuinely interested in guests having a good time. My bed was comfortable, and the bar was nice. It was sunny enough to enjoy evening drinks on the terrace. Watching the world go by was pleasant.
I stayed in room 1. It was on the ground floor, and this somewhat dampened my stay. The alternative entrance door was right next to my room. It was SO noisy with guests coming and going at night.
