“Wards Hotel is a family-run Folkestone mainstay with the charm of an Edwardian boutique; its Earls Restaurant clearly stands out, promising (and delivering) traditional British fare that makes a stay here worthwhile. The location is convenient, near both Folkestone's beaches and Dover's white cliffs, and rooms are individually decorated, giving the place a personal touch. I think it makes for a solid choice for those seeking a break on the coast.”

Acceptable Stay

delicious waycomfortable bedgood dinnertatty outsidedated advertmissing lock
I enjoyed a good dinner at the hotel. The vegetables were served in a unique and delicious way. The bed was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep (this is always important!).
The hotel did look tatty from the outside. The adverts in the windows seemed quite dated. There was no internal lock on the door, which I found frustrating.
