Decent Stay with a Few Disappointments

musty odorslow service
The room size was adequate, but I noticed a persistent musty odor. It wasn't overpowering, but noticeable enough to be bothersome. I also found the service during breakfast to be quite slow. Several times I had to ask for coffee refills and waited longer than expected for my order. The staff seemed understaffed, and it impacted the overall dining experience. it was very noisy.

Impressed with Cleanliness and Breakfast

clean hotelfree parkingdesign flaw
The hotel was lovely and very clean. Parking at the back of the hotel was FREE. I enjoyed the included breakfast, it had plenty of choice and tasted AMAZING!!!
The room was somewhat cold. A thermostatic radiator valve was covered by curtains which was a design flaw. The lightweight duvet was not sufficient, more insulation is needed.

the on-site parking was available and convenient.
The menu on sunday evening was quite poor. Steak and gammon were missing. i was disappointed that there were no vegetables served with the chicken and mash potatoes, it seemed odd for a hotel not to maintain a better stock of food. also, my room at the front faced a church that chimed every hour throughout the night, coupled with the early morning traffic, a decent nights sleep was impossible and secondary double glazing would improve this.

A Solid Stay

The room had good size and the bathroom was spacious, i found that helpful. Staff were friendly upon my arrival. I also enjoyed the convenient, secure parking away from the street. It added a layer of comfort to my stay (knowing my car was safe). Breakfast had quality options available.
The room lacked a phone, and i missed having one for quick inquiries.
