MacPherson's Cottage sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms and includes a lounge, dining room, kitchen, and outdoor storage. Another cottage, at 15 Kirkmichael Road, sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and has a lounge, conservatory, dining room, kitchen, and garden. Ironing facilities and heating are included. Superior rooms are larger with full en-suite bathrooms. Standard rooms may have a bath or a shower.
Scottish Dining Experience
The hotel features a country inn-style atmosphere. It offers a menu reflecting seasonal changes and a 'Specials Board'. The enclosed patio and beer garden provide an outdoor dining space. The Poachers Den Restaurant hosts special events. A Christmas menu is available from December 12th to 23rd. Sample festive dishes include Cream of Carrot and Coriander Soup, Traditional Butter Basted Turkey, and Christmas Pudding. A Hogmanay menu features Chef's Highland Game Terrine and Medallions of Fillet Steak.
Brewery and Area Attractions
The Moulin Brewery offers free tours Monday to Friday, from 10 AM to 4 PM. The Pitlochry Festival Theatre and Blair Castle are nearby. The hotel is close to Pitlochry Church of Scotland, Faskally Wood, and Edradour Distillery. The Old North Road, a drovers road, passes behind the Moulin Inn. Other area attractions include the Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre and the Queen's View.
Local Activities
Pitlochry hosts the annual Highland Games on the second Saturday of September. The Pitlochry Enchanted Forest takes place in Faskally Woods every October. Blair Atholl, nestled in the Grampian Mountains, offers opportunities for wildlife watching and off-road driving. Ben Vrackie, with a popular path to the summit, takes around four hours to hike.
