“The hotel stands out for its commitment to art-infused urban design and proximity to the Bois de Vincennes; the One Lounge concept cleverly merges lobby, breakfast space, and bar into a stylish hub. Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Motel One Paris-Porte Doree is often praised for its modern and clean rooms that some guests find surprisingly spacious, along with soundproofed windows that effectively block outside noise despite the hotel's location near a busy intersection. Its proximity to the Metro, particularly line 8, provides convenient access to central Paris in around 20 minutes, and it's also close to the Porte Doree Palace and Zoo Park. The bar is a popular spot, open late with good cocktails, but some guests have noted the absence of tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.

the reception staff were very cute. i found some delicious sweets at the reception desk, such a nice treat! my room felt very comfortable during my weekend stay.
the air conditioning was not working . i was advised to open the window, but my room was on the first floor facing the motorway. this meant there was a lot of noise even with the window open and the curtains didn't fully block the light.

Adequate, but Several Issues Noticed

ineffective air conditioningdifficult mirror
The room felt quite cramped. There was barely enough space for my suitcase. the air conditioning was not effective. I couldn't adjust it to my preferred setting. It seemed to blow warm air continuously. I had to open the window, which let in a lot of street noise. The design of the mirror is poor. The metal bar hanging across the top of it, made it difficult to use.
