Lindeth Fell: Rooms
Lindeth Fell Country House offers 14 bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom or shower room. Two single occupancy rooms are available. Buttermere, a ground floor room, accommodates guests with limited mobility. Most rooms offer twin-bed arrangements. Rooms face gardens or Lake Windermere and the Coniston mountains. Master Bedrooms feature super king size 6-foot beds (convertible to twins) and two armchairs. Superior Bedrooms are on three floors, with Buttermere on the ground floor, and feature either garden or lake views with the possibility for either a double or twinned bed room. Classic Bedrooms have 5-foot double beds, except Ullswater with a 6-foot bed convertible to twins.
Dining at Lindeth Fell
Breakfast includes a two-course menu, featuring a full English breakfast, poached smoked haddock, rarebit, vine tomato, and spinach. Afternoon Tea includes finger sandwiches, buttermilk scones with jam and cream, and sweet treats. The Restaurant Menu offers a three-course choice at lunchtime and in the early evening, with seasonal dishes. The in-house bar offers drinks to complement meals. Scottish smoked salmon from Port of Lancaster Smokehouse with scrambled egg served on toasted sourdough is also available.
Leisure and Activities
Lindeth Fell offers a croquet lawn for guests. Guests can take a 2-hour tour of Lake Windermere on Storrs Hall's vintage Thames Slipper Launch, Abigail Leah, seating up to 5 guests plus the Skipper, with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco. Windermere Golf Club allows Lindeth Fell guests to book a round of golf. Guests can visit The Royalty cinema in Bowness, which has 3 screens showing latest films in a 1930's setting with a Wurlitzer organ. Forestry Commission owned Grizedale Forest has forest tracks for mountain biking. Silecroft features miles of sand revealed at low tide, where heavy horses are galloped along by the sea. Tom Gill waterfall is a walk from Glen Mary Bridge car park through steep woodland.
