The room had a good shower with consistent temperature. It was not fancy, but the bed was comfy (that is what matters!).
The bar food proved expensive. I felt the bar staff seemed unwelcoming. It seemed like a hassle for them to take orders for food and drinks.

i stayed in a double room it was cosy. breakfast service was great the staff was friendly. the pub has a good atmosphere and the food was good too.
the room i had was small the decor felt dated. i saw lots cobwebs on the windows which wasnt so good. the room needed a deep clean for sure.

The staff were cute and seemed to enjoy their work. I appreciated the owner taking time to share the history of the place. I had a comfortable bed, in The Screes across the road, and the shower was hot and powerful, ideal after a long day. The freshly cooked food was excellent. Vicki makes a great pie!
The room lacked a hairdryer, and there was only one hand towel provided. The room wasn't cleaned . It would have been helpful to have this service.
