“The hotel struck me as a place where the staff truly cares, creating a welcoming atmosphere with genuine service. Its location is ideal for those wanting to explore local shops and historical sites, and the restaurant clearly places a premium on the quality of its food, particularly the carvery. While some aspects might show their age, the hotel's charm and attention to guest needs are what stand out most.”

friendly staff large room building history
the staff were friendly and cute! the room was large and very clean. the hotel had a real charm, I could see there's a lot of history in the building.
The pillows were ancient and lumpy, and the bed felt rock hard. There wasn't any heating at all in the room, and it was a cold night and morning.

I regret to report my room experience. the mattress felt ancient. I think springs poked me all night. also, the promised free wifi was as useful as a chocolate teapot. I couldn't even load a basic webpage.
