Imu Hotel Kyoto is appreciated for its convenient location near public transportation, including metro and bus lines, making it easy to explore the city. Guests enjoy modern, well-equipped rooms, some featuring a bunk bed setup and spacious shower facilities; a separate, lockable luggage area allows for more flexible exploration. A highlight for many is the complimentary sake tasting offered, though a few guests have noted the limited Japanese options at the vegan-friendly breakfast. Charming Stay in a Wonderful Hotel

really good serviceenglish skillslocal attractionsair conditioner
All promised services were effectively delivered, reassuring. The front desk service impressed me greatly. A lovely lady assisted me with my needs. She gave excellent suggestions for local attractions. Having substantial conversations in English was a wonderful advantage .
The air conditioner lacked necessary controls, and it mostly blew warm air. This made the room very uncomfortable, it affected the sleep quality. Reception offered a small fan but it was not enough.
Service

The staff offered Yamato shipping services, very convenient for sending souvenirs home. They also provided complimentary sake, water, coffee, and tea. These thoughtful touches enhanced the overall experience. The team was always ready to assist and spoke English well.

poor air conditioningcrowded breakfast
the air conditioning was not good the temperature was hard to regulate. the room felt stuffy some nights, even with the ac running. it was hard to get a good night's sleep because of this. also the breakfast area gets very crowded during peak hours so finding a seat was difficult.
