the staff provided fresh milk. breakfast was yummy and i found the staff lovely. i especially appreciated the locked shed for our cycling group. our bikes remained secure thanks to that shed (very thoughtful!).

the room i stayed in was spacious and comfortable. i had a great shower and appreciated having a comfortable space to rest after a long day of cycling. everything felt clean and cute.

the staff showed a lot of pride in the hotel. the service provided at the bar impressed me. the steak and ale pie contained pure steak with real flavour.

The staff was helpful .
The room was too cold at night. The radiator did not seem to be working. No one asked about my stay upon checkout, a missed opportunity to address the heating issue. The desserts were shockingly overpriced given the small portion size (disappointing).

the breakfast included a huge selection i could not finish the cooked portion the location suited my travel from manchester to glasgow i stopped here before heading to newcastle the next day the town square offered convenient parking right outside the hotel.
my room faced the street so it was somewhat noisy.

The room felt quite cold. The radiator wasn't on when I arrived, and I found no heater. Two twin beds were pushed together. I felt the join, made the bed uncomfortable.

my room got too hot, there was only fans in the room, these didn't really cool the place.

I stayed one night after walking part of Hadrian's Wall. The location suited me, and the hotel itself had a cute atmosphere. I had a single room with a shower. It was comfortable and clean. The breakfast included amazing sausages!!!
My room faced the square, resulting in some noise from the street, especially early in the morning.
