Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Horseshoe Hotel is often praised for its beautiful location near Egton Bridge, with chickens roaming freely and fields with lambs creating an idyllic atmosphere. Guests frequently enjoy the spacious rooms and the menu, where the chef's cooking is appreciated, especially the fish dishes with salmon, vongoles, coquilles, and zeekraal; the cheese platter with port is another highlight. The breakfast receives particular attention for its variety, including fruit smoothies and fresh fruit alongside traditional English options. While the corridors and rooms have a quirky style, some guests have found the interior needs some improvements.

the quality and presentation were excellent with lovely combinations. the staff was most cute and helpful . All questions were answered quickly.
i found that the bedroom and shower room needed more attention. dirt was ingrained , and it seemed a while since the woodwork had been cleaned properly. paint was splattered on the window , a detail i noted. also , a window in the shower room had been repaired with pieces of wood , which wasn't ideal.
