The location was great! staff members WERE polite. The food was excellent. I enjoyed the warm welcome and cleanliness of my room. The steak pie stood out. I appreciate the friendly service received .
the pillows were very hard. the noise from the adjacent bedroom was QUITE audible.

The pub had a nice look and a cute staff. The provided towels were nice. The room was presented well. it included a great shower. I liked the warm room and the view into the castle.
The kitchen extractor was loud. It disturbed me a bit.

The food was a real letdown. I ordered the ham, egg, and chips. The chips clearly had been reheated (they were cold and shriveled). When I mentioned it, I was told the chips were cooked twice. My wife's vegetable tart seemed microwaved. The pastry was soft and soggy (a texture disaster).
