A Decent Place for a Stopover

convenient locationtasty carverynoisy roomuneven floors
The location was convenient to the A1. It. The carvery was quite tasty, I'd say and very welcome after a long drive.
I found the room quite noisy. It was right over the bar area. The music kept me awake until late. The floors were also uneven, I nearly tripped. The coffee table was wobbly, as well.

Acceptable Stay but with Issues

convenient locationthin curtainsroom noise
The location suited my travel plans well.
The room above the bar was quite noisy late into the night. Sounds from the bar were audible through the floorboards, and it disrupted my sleep. The curtains did not block out the bright lights from the busy main road, it made the room difficult to darken.

the location was great for a visit to the racecourse! the food was very good and all staff i met were helpful and friendly. the room was very clean though basic.
The room is just above the bar. Every sound in the bar came through the floorboards and went on late. the main road was busy and noisy and brightly lit, and the curtains were thin so the room could not be made even a little bit dark.
