The location proves convenient for activities such as the Blaise Castle Parkrun, just a short walk away, and for exploring the city centre, thanks to the bus stop right outside the hotel; though some have noted the city centre feels a little further than expected. The room was spacious and included a large fireplace. The bathroom was quite modern and also featured a bath. I found the staff consistently lovely and helpful.

It seems the building is aging and shows its history. The room was quite dated and the floors made some noise as I walked.

Wonderful stay with pleasant surprises!

nice bathroom comfortable beds frequent buses

Room 8 was big, boasting a very nice bathroom. I enjoyed views of the garden from the back, and the area was quiet. I found the beds comfortable and spacious. The hotel is some distance from the city center, however buses into the city stop outside and run frequently.

The worst aspect was the steak and mushroom pie. I waited almost an hour in the restaurant. There were only three guests present! I asked for my order to be canceled because I had to leave without eating.

Service

The staff was cute and helpful. They were keen to address our needs. The team worked efficiently and created a friendly environment. I received prompt assistance with all queries. I'm happy.

Location

8/10

The location was great. It was close to Blaise estate and park. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, which offers excellent transport. The location was perfect! though the parking was expensive.

the wait for food felt long, and there was a bit of clutter around the back of the hotel near the fire exit. i really do think the hotel would benefit from a garden.

Parking was available on the hotel. Access to my room was easy. Check-in was fast. The room included everything I needed, even a fan.

The upper floor had a damp smell. The room decor was worn. I also noticed some black mould around the bedroom window frame.
