Fine Dining Options
The hotel features three restaurants. Alpine Gourmet Prato Borni, awarded 16 GaultMillau points and 1 Michelin star, serves Valais-style cuisine. Brasserie Lusi offers French Brasserie cuisine and international classics, and saycheese! serves Swiss dishes with local cheeses, including fondue, raclette, and Toblerone fondue. Brasserie Lusi has a terrace with Matterhorn views. The Smokers Lounge offers Cuban and Dominican cigars, whiskies, and brandies. The hotel's wine list has received the Ueli Prager Prize.
Leisure and Wellness
Vita Borni Alpine Spa features a pool, sauna area, and treatment rooms. The spa exclusively uses Matterhorn Swiss Mineral Cosmetics. A range of treatments is available, including options using mineral extracts from Matterhorn rock. The spa will undergo renovation from April 14, 2025, and guests can use the facilities at the Mont Cervin Palace hotel during this time. There is also a fitness area with cardio equipment and weights.
Location & Transportation
The Grand Hotel Zermatterhof is in a central location in Zermatt, 600 meters from Zermatt. Zermatt is car-free; transportation is via a shuttle train from Täsch (where cars can be parked), running every 20 minutes. Electric car pickup from Zermatt station can be arranged. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the station. Horse-drawn carriage pickup from Zermatt station is available between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Guest Services
The hotel provides services for corporate events and private celebrations, with meeting rooms for 12 to 180 people. The hotel has been a host to royalty, Hollywood celebrities and mountaineers.
