Golden Sands enjoys a fantastic location right on St Brelade's beach, providing easy access to the bay and several restaurants. Many guests appreciate the spotless and well-maintained rooms, some featuring lovely sea view balconies ideal for relaxation and watching beach activities. The breakfast receives consistent praise for its excellent variety, including continental options and a full English breakfast. While a few visitors found the restaurant expensive or the food quality inconsistent, the hotel's prime beachfront location and comfortable rooms are generally considered a great value.

The room was quite dated. it was hot. Even with the windows open, it didn't help much. the bar area also felt overly warm during breakfast. i also think that more attention to detail would be beneficial.

The beach front location was fantastic. It really stood out.
the room was quite hot even after i opened the windows. the bar area was also uncomfortably warm during breakfast. i think installing air conditioning would improve the experience, or at least opening the doors.

Really good Beachfront Stay

sea viewreally good serviceroom cleanermissing fridge
Our family room with sea view balcony offered amazing views. The staff provided really good service. Martin stood out with his friendliness, our kids liked him a lot. The room cleaner was also very helpful, they cleaned our room perfectly each day. We got another fan brought up quickly one evening when it was very warm.
I did notice there was no fridge in the room. It would have been a nice addition for keeping drinks cold (especially during warmer days).
Facilities

A 'family room' on the first floor provided footballs, spades, dvds, and books. There is a bus stop conveniently located right outside the hotel. Waitrose and a pharmacy are also accessible with a short 15-minute walk.
Location
10/10
The hotel's location is right on the beach, it allows easy access to the sea and sand. There are other restaurants situated very close to the hotel. The airport is also only 15 minutes away from the hotel, this is very convenient.
Rooms

Our bedroom was beautiful and spacious, it had very comfortable beds. The sea view room with balcony offered views of the beach and sea activities. The balcony was a welcome addition during the warm evenings.

Breakfast was amazing (especially the pancakes!). The restaurant offers sea views. The restaurant staff are friendly and helpful, it makes the stay more enjoyable.

Wonderful bayside retreat

I found the location ideal. It is directly on the beach and very close to restaurants. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and mostly efficient (they knew my name!).
The veggie options could have been more diverse.

The hotel is very close to two world-class golf courses, La Moye GC and Royal Jersey GC, both very well known. The beach is literally at the foot of the hotel, and a garden offers an alternative space to enjoy the sea view.
Dining

Breakfast included many options. La Brise restaurant provides delicious food, beautifully presented. The hotel also offers a variety of drinks and light meals throughout the day at the bar (especially tasty ice creams!).

wonderful positionexpensive restaurantinedible meal
The hotel is in a wonderful position right on the beach. The staff was superb, so friendly and helpful..
I was definitely not getting value for my money, having paid nearly £800 for 3 nights. It seems like they have skimped on most things since my previous stay. The restaurant felt very expensive, and I found the meals very poor. I had to send one meal back, and then it was still not really edible.
